Icon Connect, who provide smart home technology for super yachts, super homes and commercial entities on an internationals stage, recently welcomed their local Member of Parliament, the Right Honourable Sir Oliver Heald QC, to their head office in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.

Paul Rose, director, told Sir Oliver during the visit: “This has been an unprecedented period for the company as it has for many businesses, but covid on top of brexit has added another layer of complexity we could never have planned for.

“We have however managed to continue to operate throughout the last year both domestically and internationally. Some 75 percent of our revenues are from the EU and we have contracts to fulfil.

“We are positive about the future and have found that brexit has not stopped us from winning new projects. The company have been operating in European shipyards for over 20 years and have a very good reputation for quality and innovation”

“The Government furlough scheme has been extremely helpful to our continuing business for which we are very grateful, as we are for your interest and support of our business. We have projects which have continued throughout, particularly in the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy, as well as the UK. We have asked for a big commitment from our staff, and they have delivered.”
